The Siren of Titans: WHY THE INVASIONS?!

Hi my potatoes!!! This is my FIRST post on my blog! YAY! My first one's going to be on my favorite summer reading book, The Sirens of Titans by Kurt Vonnegut. It's about a man named Constant Malachi who sails through outer space. Hope you enjoy!!!

The sirens of Titans was an interesting book, which was normal for me since I am a HUGE fan of outer space. Constant struck me as a puppet controlled by Winston Niles Nummford, the antagonist of the book. I mean, come on! He tried to enslave the Earth with a new religion. And this religion said something among the lines of,"God is indifferent to welfare of humanity." I also feel bad for Constant when he and his wife Beatrice lose all their money. I also feel bad when Constant's wife Beatrice sells their house. And then there was that moment where I fangirled.

I believe this was the moment where the Martian Army invaded planet Earth. It just reminded me of my Guardians of the Galaxy comic books. And I literally screamed "I KNEW IT!" when Winston revealed himself as the culprit of the invasion. It reminded me of one of my books Kings Of Clomnel. In my book, the priest was trying to convince others of his fake religion just to secretly claim their loyalty, goods, and armies. All in all, I highly recommend this book to others who are sci-fi outer space geeks like me.
