The Secrets of Mary Bowser Pt. 2

HELLO, MY POTATOES!!!! It's Potato Girl here with another blog for you. I've done at least 60 minutes this week, so this is going to be a long blog. Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this blog and make to check out the book The Secrets of Mary Bowser. It's a real page-turner!

We left at where Mary El found out about the true nature of Philadelphia. She thought the colored people there were neither nor slaves. But still, Mary El decided to leave it behind and continue with her high school. Later on, after she left high school, a man named Theodore asked for her hand in marriage. Mary El refused though because she thought of Theodore's thoughts on her parents as wrong. I thought about it too, and I agreed with Mary El at the time. I still do agree. Later on, Hattie and Mary El fought out their differences, and it concluded with Hattie telling her a secret. Her father was an undertaker, and he hid slaves in coffins to ship them up to Philadelphia. "This was part of the Underground Railroad," Hattie said. "And you have to promise not to tell a soul." Mary El promised and decided to live with Hattie and father later on. After this, the most tragic thing happened. Mary EL's mom died, leaving Mary El shattered. She stayed in a depression for a year. And that's when I stopped reading.

Sorry, you guys that I left you on a cliffhanger. But I assure I will finish this book soon.
